Redhead lights & U-matic hire in West Yorkshire

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know where the best (and cheapest) place to hire Redhead lights would be in West Yorkshire? I'm wanting to hire some over the Bank holiday weekend and would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions.

I'm also wanting to hire a High Band U-Matic deck to transfer some old footage. Has anyone got one they could hire out?

I, too, would be offended if I were to receive a message like that. Diane, there is nothing wrong at all with your writings. And if it was a form letter, it is still tacky as heck, since it doesn't even acknowledge that you are an adult, which they should have known from your postings (and at the same time insults a lot of our younger members by insinuating that they are only "learning" how to use capitalization/punctuation).

Makes me wonder if our moderators have enough time to criticize someone's capitalization/punctuation (or insinuated lack thereof) why it took them over 12 hours to remove repeated profanity from the board this past week.

And I don't really mean this to be a hit on our moderators--just a question of where their priorities should lie.

Joy is one of the moderators on our board.

We have a rule not to use netspeak on purpose on this board such as all lower case, U for the word "you" etc. Since we have all ages and several nationalities posting here, it is easier if we all use regular English grammar versus netspeak or chatspeak common on AIM and other forums. Of course, I don't have perfect English and it's been a long time since I was in an English class. [img]redface.gif[/img] It's also easy to have typos, etc. and that is not what we are trying to eliminate.

We have had several complaints about netspeak on the board and are trying to gauge who is using it on purpose versus just simple typos, etc. It is not always easy to tell. Most of our members who complain about not understanding posts because of netspeak or chatspeak don't do so on the public board, and it has been left up to the mods to try to do the best we can behind the scenes. That is why ladydi got a PM asking if she was purposely using netspeak versus a public thread about it.

I never noticed anything about your posts, but I wasn't paying that much attention to this area. Did you respond to Joy? I am sorry if you were offended. [img]frown.gif[/img]

I believe Joy is djsnjones. I know she is a moderator on this board.

This was BEYOND appropriate. I'm not sure who died and made her >insert tyrannical group here> Queen.

Last time I looked this was a message board about freakin Dolls... not a board for the English Major Elite.

Its one thing if you are using "chattype" or what ever nonsense name she branded it... where you don't spell out every word like G8 2 C U. That does get on my nerves as well... BUT I HAVE NEVER SEEN YOU DO THAT... NEVER NEVER NEVER

And asking about learning disabilities? Honey... just be glad you didn't say that to me... The only one with learning disabilities is the Moderator who hasn't learned the fine art of tact.

I've been involved with a lot of Message Boards... Board with a larger member roaster as well as worked with professional authors on academic subject... I have NEVER seen a moderator behave so unprofessionally.

Again, I reiterate.. This is a DOLL board.
